Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at the same Games as well as the first gymnast to win three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles as well as the younger of her sisters Adria were taken in from Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles parents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone was first drawn to the sport of gymnastics at age six. Her coach Aimee Borman accompanied Biles to Bannon's Gymnastix and they took them on a field trip. Biles won a silver medal in vault and floor in the women's Junior Olympic National Championships of 2010. She then made her debut in the highest level of the competition. Within less than two years she became the most dominant in her sport. What set Biles apart was her consistency her vibrant personality as well as the intense level of effort she introduced into her routines in the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercise.
