sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He is the older child of the Italian born Francesco "Frank" Stallone , Jr, a hairdresser, and Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor musician, and hairdresser. Sylvester was left paralyzed on the lower left of his face because of complications during birth. He now has the famous "snarling" expression, as well as a slightly slurred voice. Because of the volatile parent-child relationship, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple divorced later. Stallone studied drama in Switzerland at the American College before moving on to Miami University. Stallone left the school to pursue acting in New York City.
