Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. Her career started in Mexico in the telenovela Teresa, where she was a lead in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. She soon established herself in Hollywood by appearing in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) as well as Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida the painter in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also directed as well, was what made Hayek the first Mexican actor to win the Academy Award [6]. The film also brought her an Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Later on, Hayek focused more on producing while starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
